Abstract
Objective This systematic review focused on whether COVID-19 caused an increased incidence of auditory disorders and clinical characteristics of patients with COVID-19-related auditory disorders via Meta-analysis.Methods The China knowledge Network,Wanfang,PubMed,Embase,Web of science and other databases were searched for reports on CO VID associated auditory disorders including hearing loss,tinnitus and otalgia from Mar.1,2020 to Dec.31,2022.Studies meeting inclusion standards were analyzed using the RevMan5.3 software package.Re-sult A total of 19 articles were included,including 5 prospective,6 cross-sectional,7 retrospective and 1 RCT studies.The results showed that the prevalence rate was 10％(CI:0.06,0.17)for hearing loss,10％(CI:0.06,0.17)for tinnitus and 9％(CI:0.05,0.16)for otalgia in COVID-19 patients.Conclusion COVID-19 may cause auditory system problems by affecting structures or functions of the auditory pathway or by weakening the immune system.In view of the insuffi-cient evidence and the heterogeneity between studies,the results should be interpreted with caution.More rigorous re-search and evaluation on the auditory system using standardized objective tests in COVID-19 patients are needed.关键词
