Investigation on knowledge,attitude and behavior of home care service with appropriate technology of TCM nursing for community nurses

Abstract
Objective To investigate the cognition,attitude and behavior of community nurses towards home care services with appropriate technology of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)nursing,and to analyze the influencing factors.Methods From January to April 2023,a sample of 305 community nurses from 24 community hospitals in and around Huai'an city was collected by cluster sampling method.A self-designed questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge,attitude and behavior level of community nurses involved in the home care services with appropriate technology of TCM nursing,and the influencing factors were analyzed.Results The total score of the questionnaire on knowledge and practice of home care service was(112.13±18.46),with subscale scores for knowledge dimension(31.30±9.51),attitude dimension(44.30±6.96)and behavior dimension(28.16±7.89).The years of working experience,type of college graduated and whether participants had received systematic TCM nursing training were found to be influencing factors on the knowledge,attitude and behavior level of community nurses engaged in home care service with appropriate technology of TCM nursing.Conclusions Community nurses showed a positive attitude and a strong need for home care service with appropriate technology of TCM nursing.However,their cognition was low and their action was not sufficiently robust.Therefore,more training and support are required to promote home care service with appropriate technology of TCM nursing.关键词
