Study on the correlation between bone volume fraction and bone resorption around implants in posterior dental implants
摘要
Abstract
Objective:Using bone volume fraction as a quantitative index of bone density in posterior dental planting area,to analyze the correlation between bone volume fraction in posterior dental planting area and bone absorption around the implant after one year of restoration load. Methods:A total of 68 patients(72 missing teeth)were selected.Bone fragments were removed from the implant fossa using a mucosal annular drill.Pathological sections were made through decalcification, embedding, sectioning, and staining. The sections were then scanned and imaged, and bone volume fraction(BV/TV)was cal-culated using software.CBCT taken before restoration and at the patient's return visit one year after restoration were imported into the software to analyze the bone absorption volume quantitatively in three dimensions. To compare the difference between the amount of bone absorption around the implant in patients with different BV/TV after one year of implant repair load.Re-sults:There was no significant difference between the BV/TV of the implant area and the bone absorption around the implant in mandibular posterior region and between different genders(P>0.05).According to Pearson correlation coefficient analy-sis,there was a significant negative correlation between BV/TV in the posterior dental planting area and the bone absorption around the implant(r=-0.77,P<0.01).Conclusion:BV/TV can objectively quantify bone density in planting area, and the bone absorption around the implant is less in planting area with higher BV/TV at one year of loading.关键词
