Abstract

The main problems of traditional cement concrete road surfaces include susceptibility to cracking,degra-dation,and poor fatigue resistance,a significantly shortened lifespan and severely hindered the development and application of cement concrete road surfaces.Slag-calcium sulfoaluminate cement(S-CSA)is a novel binding ma-terial with high flexural strength,which is applied in concrete road surfaces preparation and show the potential to address the poor fatigue performance in existing road surfaces.Through three-point bending fatigue tests and acoustic emission tests,the fatigue resistance of high-flexural-strength S-CSA concrete and ordinary portland cement(OPC)one was compared and analyzed.The research results indicate that high-flexural-strength S-CSA concrete has more coarse aggregate fracture events under the same loading conditions;With different strength grades,the fatigue life of high-flexural-strength S-CSA concrete surpasses that of OPC one,and significantly increase with the strength grade rises with the longest of approximately 7.2 times;The formation of ettringite effectively improves the interfacial transition zone,thereby enhancing the fatigue resistance of high-flexural-strength S-CSA concrete.
