Abstract
Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)in children is a common disorder with profound health impacts,and one of its major adverse consequences is the impairment of neurocognitive function.This impairment involves executive function,memory,attention,language expression,and comprehension,among other aspects.The specific pathogenesis remains unclear,but intermittent hypoxia and sleep fragmentation are likely key factors leading to neurocognitive impair-ment.Treatment modalities for pediatric OSA include adenotonsillectomy,continuous positive airway pressure therapy,oral appliances,weight loss,and anti-inflammatory medications.This article elucidates the research hotspots and current status of neurocognitive impairment associated with pediatric OSA.关键词
