Applications of Cryptography:From Secure Communication to Utilization over Encrypted Data

Abstract
With the wave of the information revolution,many fields such as computers,the Internet,the Internet of Things,and artificial intelligence have rapid development.Cyberspace has become an integral component of modern society,profoundly altering various aspects of people's lifestyles and modes of production.On the other hand,the rapid expansion of cyberspace has exacerbated issues related to information leaks and privacy infringements,leading to an increasingly severe demand for data security and privacy protection.In response to the growing demands for security and privacy,relevant cryptographic technologies have evolved continuously and found widespread applications in various domains such as finance,healthcare,education,and government affairs,to ensure the secure safeguarding of sensitive information and data assets.This paper is structured around the critical application scenarios and research focal points of information technology in different developmental stages.It places specific emphasis on Internet data transmission,cloud storage,blockchain-based cryp-tocurrencies,electronic voting,Web 3.0,and privacy computing,elucidating typical demonstrations of cryptographic technology's application in these relevant domains.关键词
