Fast algorithm for multiple-receiver synthetic aperture sonar imaging and six-degrees-of-freedom motion compensation

Abstract
For the issue of the six-degrees-of-freedom(SDOF)motion compensation(MOCO)and the low efficiency of the point-by-point MOCO algorithm,a fast MOCO and imaging range-Doppler(RD)algorithm was proposed for the multiple-receiver synthetic aperture sonar(SAS)with the azimuth-invariant SDOF motion errors.First,the double square root(DSR)form range history was established.Secondly,the DSR form range history was approximated and retained to the fourth-order terms of the azimuth time by the method of Taylor series expansion.On this basis,an analytical two-dimensional frequency spectrum of point target response was derived using the method of series reversion.Finally,the fast MOCO and imaging algorithm was proposed,which can realize the compensation of azimuth-invariant SDOF motion errors and high-resolution imaging synchronously.The results of simulations and accurate experiment data imaging indicate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.关键词
