Analysis of factors influencing hospitalization expenses of stroke patients in a hospital from 2021 to 2022 based on the homepage of inpatient medical records

Abstract
Objective:To explore the the hospitalization expenses and influencing factors of stroke patients in a hospital from 2021 to 2022 based on the homepage of inpatient medical records.Methods:The homepage data of inpatient medical records of 650 stroke patients discharged from Qinhuangdao Military Industrial Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were collected.Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the general conditions of the patients and the composition of hospi-talization expenses,and ordinal logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of the hospitalization expenses of stroke patients in Qinhuangdao Military Industrial Hospital from 2021 to 2022.Results:The average hospitali-zation costs of stroke patients in this study from 2021 to 2022 were 15,296.62 yuan and 17,003.20 yuan,respectively.Compared with 2020,the average hospitalization expenses of patients in 2021 significantly increased.The top three items in the average hospitalization expenses were drug expenses(46.82%,43.55%)and treatment expenses(34.31%,36.28%),diagnosis fees(11.69%,13.41%),and the last three were surgery fees(0.91%,0.81%),blood transfusion fees(0.20%,0.21%),and other fees(0.37%,0.49%).In this study,according to the hospitalization cost of stroke patients,"～25%"was divided into low cost(n=168),"25%～75%"was divided into medium cost(n=322),and"75%～"was divided into high cost expenses(n=160),and univariate analysis showed that age,medical payment method,length of hospital stay,surgery and operation,and critical illness were statistically different among groups in hospitalization expenses(P<0.05).The ordinal logistic regression analysis showed that age,medical payment method,hospital stay,surgery and op-eration,and critical illness were all related factors affecting the hospitalization cost of stroke(P<0.05).Conclusion:In a hos-pital from 2021 to 2022,the hospitalization cost of stroke patients has increased year by year,and there is an economic burden.Age,medical payment method,hospitalization time,surgery and operation,and critical illness are the factors that affect the hospitalization cost.It is recommended to strengthen the scientific and rational use of drugs,reduce drug costs,improve the medical system,shorten the length of hospitalization,improve the awareness of timely medical treatment,and avoid developing into critical illnesses,so as to reduce the hospitalization costs of stroke patients.关键词
