SARS-CoV-2 vaccines:classification,evaluation andprospect

Abstract
Based on vaccination and other preventive efforts in recent years,the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has been effec-tively controlled.However,during the control,SARS-CoV-2,an RNA virus,has continued to mutate,making the development of a vaccine with stable and long-lasting efficacy very difficult.With this challenge,this paper introduces the current status of SARS-CoV-2 development and focuses on the research and development of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines,classifying the existing vaccines into inactivated vaccines,attenuated vaccines,vector vaccines,protein subunit vaccines,virus-like particle vaccines,and mRNA vaccines.At the same time,summarizing the characteristics of the different types of vaccines,their latest applications and current problems,and describing the latest developments in the relevant vac-cines.According to the existing principles of vaccine evaluation,we propose a simple evaluation system to compare the dif-ferent types of vaccines from six perspectives:use and storage conditions,route of vaccination,vaccine efficacy,vaccine safety,effective vaccine duration,and herd immunity after vaccination,which successfully explains the current vaccine de-velopment trend.Finally,the paper summarises,reflects and outlooks on the application of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine,in-cluding proposing the need for a sound vaccine evaluation system,new directions for vaccine development and new delivery routes,expecting to extend from SARS-CoV-2 vaccines to the parts of the vaccine industry under development,and to promote the development of the vaccine field to a certain extent.关键词
