Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Dexmedetomidine pretreatment on agitation during recovery period from anesthesia in children undergoing tonsillectomy.Methods A total of 60 children undergoing tonsillectomy under general anesthesia with tracheal intubation in Guangdong Clifford Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected to conduct retrospective analysis.All the children were divided into the observation group and the control group based on the presence or absence of intravenous infusion of Dexmedetomidine for pretreatment,with 30 cases in each group.Both groups received intravenous general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation.The observation group received intravenous pumping of Dexmedetomidine before anesthesia induction,while the control group received intravenous pumping of the same amount of normal saline.The time of recovery,extubation and recovery room stay,the scores of post-extubation agitation and incidence of agitation and the incidence of perioperative adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Results There was no statistically significant difference in the time of recovery,extubation and recovery room stay between the two groups(P>0.05).The scores of post-extubation agitation and the incidence of agitation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions such as bradycardia and hypotension occurred in the two groups during the perioperative period.Conclusion Dexmedetomidine pretreatment can reduce the agitation score and incidence of agitation during recovery period from anesthesia in children undergoing tonsillectomy,without affecting the recovery time.关键词
