Abstract
Achieving intelligent and controllable wireless environments is one hot research topic in wireless communication.As a key technology of the 6G,Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface(RIS)is considered a revolutionary technology for electromagnetic environ-ment control.RIS significantly enhances network performance in an eco-friendly and cost-effective manner.It redefines the propagation paradigm of wireless systems through joint optimization of transmitters,receivers,and the propagation environment,constructing an intel-ligently controllable wireless propagation environment.RIS typically relies on passive control mechanisms,which introduce multiplicative path loss issues,making the deployment of ultra-large-scale control units crucial.With the expansion of array size and the increase in frequency,traditional plane wave assumption becomes inapplicable,and near-field transmission becomes inevitable.To precisely charac-terize the near-field transmission of RIS,it is essential to study the transmission model of near-field spherical waves and their impact in the radiative near-field region.This paper delves the channel model of RIS-assisted near-field wireless communication systems and designs adaptive precoding schemes and transmission strategies.The aim of this paper is to fully leverage potential advantages of RIS-assisted near-field communication,enhancing the performance and efficiency of entire wireless communication system.关键词
