Digital Economy,Revitalization of Rural Industries and Chinese-style Agricultural and Rural Modernization

Abstract
The rapid development of digital economy has brought new engines for rural revitalization and the development of Chinese path to modernization,and to a certain extent,has an important impact on Chinese-style agricultural and rural moderniza-tion.By sorting out the theoretical mechanism of the impact of digital economy on Chinese-style agricultural and rural moderniza-tion,this paper constructs the index system of Chinese-style agricultural and rural modernization,the index system of digital econ-omy and the index system of rural industry revitalization,and then uses the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2021 to empirically studies the impact of digital economy on Chinese-style agricultural and rural modernization and the intermediary mechanism of rural industry revitalization.The results indicate that digital economy has a significant positive effect on Chi-nese-style agricultural and rural modernization,and this conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests.Mechanism analy-sis shows that the revitalization of rural industries is an important intermediary channel for digital economy to empower Chi-nese-style agricultural and rural modernization.Heterogeneity test finds that the promotion effect of digital economy on Chi-nese-style agricultural and rural modernization is more significant in the central region and non-major grain producing areas.关键词
