摘要

Abstract

Aluminum electrolysis spent cathode carbon and red mud are inevitable large hazardous solid in aluminum industry,which poses a threat to the ecological environment,but also great recycling potential.A short process one-step reduction method was proposed.Carbon in the spent cathode was used as reductant to reduce iron in red mud to magnetically separable elemental iron or ferric oxide,achieving a"dual waste"collaborative disposal.The results showed that under conditions of 600℃,300 minutes,and ration of spent cathode to red mud is0.75∶1,the iron recovery rate was 60.02%.
