Cultural Connotation of Pang Tong's Appearance Uglification
摘要
Abstract
The appearance uglification of Pang Tong in Romance of the Three Kingdoms is not intended to belittle him while highlighting Zhuge Liang's perfect image.The uglification contains three layers of connotations.Firstly,through the ugliness of the characters,it aims to show"extraordinary appearance",and to realize"external ugliness,but internal beauty"on the influence of the abnormal person view.Secondly,to manifest Pang Tong's self-conceited temperament,an ancient expectation of the image.Thirdly,Pang Tong's ugliness is closely related to his political disappointment,which reveals a profound tragic color of"talents unrecognized".关键词
