The Strategies for the Creation of Node Vitality in Suzhou Ancient Waterfront Block from a Local Perspective: A Case of Shantang Historical and Cultural Block

Abstract
The water network in Jiangnan is longitudinal, and water resources have bred waterfront neighborhoods with local characteristics. With the development of urban construction, the river no longer carries its original functional value, and the waterfront space of the block gradually decays. The regional characteristics of historical and cultural neighborhoods and how they are balanced in the development of modern society are related to the inheritance of culture and historical memory. This paper starts from the perspective of "locality", classifies and studies the nodes in the waterfront space in the block, and proposes specific strategies for the creation of node vitality.关键词
