Hygrothermal performance comparison of internally insulated masonry walls under climate change
摘要
Abstract
To quantify the hygrothermal performance of internally insulated masonry walls under climate change,a numerical simulation software WUFI Pro was employed to analyze the frost damage risks,the mold growth risks,heat losses and moisture load of the internally insulated masonry walls with vapor-tight or vapor-open insulation materials and an uninsulated wall under one current and two future climate scenarios of Leu-ven,Belgium.The results indicate that the freeze-thaw risk occurrences of the walls with vapor-open and va-por-tight insulation increase from 6 and 2 under the current scenario to 16 and 13 under the future scenarios,with a significant increase in the moisture content,while no risks occur in the uninsulated wall.The vapor-tight insulated wall has a significantly larger mold growth risk than the others,particularly under the future cli-mate scenarios.Insulation significantly reduces energy consumption,while both vapor-open insulated walls and uninsulated walls require higher moisture loads under future climate conditions.关键词
