Abstract
Objective:This study aims to assess the current status and influencing factors of patient safety attitudes among head nurses,providing reference for hospitals to formulate relevant safety management strategies.
Methods:From July to August 2021,a total of 1 048 head nurses from 40 hospitals nationwide were selected as the research subjects using a convenient sampling method.Data was gathered through the general information questionnaire,the Chinese Version of Safety Attitude Questionnaire(C-SAQ),and Nurses'Profession Values Scale-revised(NPVS-R),with electronic questionnaires distributed through Wenjuanxing platform.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors of head nurses'patient safety attitudes.
Results:The overall score of head nurses'patient safety attitudes was 128.38±17.18,with the perception of management dimension scoring the highest and working conditions dimension scoring the lowest.There was a positive correlation between head nurses'professional values and their patient safety attitudes(r=0.608,P＜0.01).Multiple linear regression analysis results showed that participation in nursing safety-related training,monthly income,hospital level,and professional value scores were influencing factors of head nurses'patient safety attitudes(all P＜0.05).
Conclusion:Head nurses generally exhibit a high-middle level of patient safety attitude but still need further improvement.Enhanced patient safety attitudes are associated with nursing safety training,higher monthly income,hospital level and professional values.The study suggests that hospital administrators can foster better patient safety attitudes by offering nursing safety-related training,increasing salaries appropriately,and enhancing the professional values of head nurses,thereby promoting overall patient safety.China[J].Journal of Nursing Administration,2017,17(5):308-311.https://doi.org/10.3969/j.issn.1671-315X.2017.05.002.关键词
