Incidence of depression in perimenopausal women and its relationship with family intimacy and subjective well-being

Abstract
Objective To investigate the incidence of depression in perimenopausal women and to explore the relationship be-tween perimenopausal depression and family intimacy and subjective well-being.Methods From January 2022 to June 2023,378 perimenopausal women were investigated in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of our hospital.Respondents were surveyed using the Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9),the general data questionnaire,the Chinese version of the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale(FACESⅡ-CV),and the General Well-Being Scale(GWB).Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of depression in perimenopausal women,and Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationship between PHQ-9 score with FACES Ⅱ-CV score and GWB score.Results The detection rate of depression was 33.86%(128/378).Significant differences were found in the detection rates of depression between respondents with different educational levels,menstrual status,modified Kupperman index,working status,and marital status(P<0.05);Significant differences were observed in FACES Ⅱ-CV and GWB scores between respondents in the de-pression group and those in the normal group(P<0.05).The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that education level,modified Kupperman index,FACES Ⅱ-CV score,and GWB score were independent factors of depres-sion in perimenopausal women(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the PHQ-9 score was negatively corre-lated with FACES Ⅱ-CV and GWB scores(r=-0.500,-0.407,P<0.001).Conclusion The detection rate of depres-sion in perimenopausal women remains high and should be paid attention to in clinic.The occurrence of depression is mainly affected by education level,severity of perimenopausal symptoms,family intimacy,and subjective well-being,so targeted measures should be formulated around the specific circumstances of the above aspects in the clinical treatment and nursing practice of these patients.关键词
