摘要

Abstract

[Objective]This experiment explores the influence of environmental conditions on phosphorus removal by Fe salts and its potential mechanism,which provides a theoretical basis for the development and application of phosphorus removal technology from wastewater.[Method]The effects of different pH values and Fe/P molar ratios on phosphate removal were investigated by macroscopic phosphorus removal tests.The mechanism of phosphorus removal during chemical precipitation and adsorption was investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and thermodynamic model.[Result]With the increase in pH,P removal first increased and then decreased.With the increase of Fe/P ratio,the phosphorus removal rate showed an increasing trend.When the reaction conditions were pH=5 and Fe∶P=3∶1,the P removal rate was the highest and reached 89.42%.XRD characterization and thermodynamic model results showed that P was removed from the liquid phase mainly through the formation of Fe-P precipitates,such as FePO4,or being adsorbed by iron oxides.[Conclusion]The two mechanisms of coprecipitation and adsorption exist in the process of phosphorus removal by iron salt.Among them,pH has an effect on both of them,and Fe/P molar ratio mainly affects the adsorption to change the removal efficiency of phosphorus.
