Intervention effects of different health education models on falls in the elderly:a network meta-analysis

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the intervention effects of different health education models on falls in the elderly.Methods:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on health education models to prevent falls in the elderly were retrieved from Pubmed,Web of Science,EMbase,Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,and VIP Database.The search time limit was from establishing databases to May 30,2023.The network meta-analysis was performed using Stata 16.0.Results:A total of 19 articles were included,involving 7 health education models.The results of mesh meta-analysis showed that compared with conventional health education,Teach-back model,PMT model,KAP model,HBM model and Green model had significant differences in the effect of preventing falls in the elderly(P<0.05).Among them,the Teach-back model has the best effect on preventing falls in the elderly,followed by PMT.Conclusion:Current evidence shows that Teach-back model and PMT have certain advantages in the prevention of falls in the elderly.关键词
