Development Strategy of Chinese Herbal Medicine Industry in Yunnan Province

Abstract
Food security relates to the fate of nation and social stability.Ensuring food security and satisfying people's needs are an important cornerstone for achieving social stability at regional level and people's happiness.The deteriorating trend of agriculture land conversion in recent years has threatened the security of arable land resources and food security.The planting area of Chinese medicinal herbs in Yunnan Province ranks top in Yunnan Province,and its continuous increase has squeezed the space of grain production to some extent.Under the background of ensuring food security and with the orientation to high-quality development of Chinese herbal medicine industry,the paper uses the data relevant to grain production and Chinese herbal medicine planting in Yunnan Province to analyze the obstacles to the development of Chinese herbal medicine industry.It proposes that more efforts should be taken to increase the intercrop of grains with medicinal herbs to alleviate the competition for land between grains and medicinal herbs and promote the sustainable development of Chinese herbal medicine industry,including making full use of land resources,standardizing the planting system and technique,and expediting the traceability system of the intercropped medicinal herbs.The study is aimed at realizing the whole cycle digitalization of medicinal herb planting and provide references for the high-quality development of intercropped Chinese herb medicine industry in Yunnan Province.关键词
