Abstract

The construction of large-scale renewable energy bases and their integration into the grid through ultra-high voltage direct current(UHVDC)transmission have become important in developing and utilizing renewable energy.However,the increasing proportion of renewable energy has highlighted challenges,particularly the insufficiency of system voltage support and the emergence of transient overvoltage issues.These problems have seriously restricted the capability of direct current(DC)transmission and the grid's ability to incorporate new renewable energy sources.The multiple renewable energy stations of short-circuit ratio(MRSCR)is an effective measure for assessing the system's voltage support strength.By examining the influence impact of renewable energy output on the MRSCR,the feasibility of optimizing renewable energy output distribution is defined.Furthermore,an implemented framework for regional renew-able energy output distribution,constrained by MRSCR is constructed,and an optimization method based on the simulated annealing algorithm is proposed.Finally,the algorithm's effectiveness in enhancing regional renewable energy absorption capacity is verified through simulations on a provincial-level power grid in China.The simulation results show that the proposed output optimization method can increase the absorption capacity of renewable energy by more than 70%.
