Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of Tiaoshen Jianpi acupuncture method combined with acupoint application in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)and its influence on the levels of serum 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)and vaso-active intestinal peptide(VIP).Methods 1 10patients with IBS admitted to the hospital from November 2020to November 2022were selected and divided into 55cases in control group(conventional western medicine treatment)and 55cases in observation group(Tiaoshen Jianpi acupuncture method+acupoint application on the basis of control group)according to the random number table method.The efficacy,and TCM symptoms scores,IBS Symptom Severity Score(IBS-SSS),visceral sensitivity índex(VSI)score,rectal volume stimulation sensory indicators(defecation threshold,pain threshold,sensory threshold)and serum 5-HT and VIP levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.The adverse reactions were recorded in the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate in observation group was 96.36％,which was significantly higher than 85.45％in control group(P＜O.05).After treatment,the scores of TCM symptoms(abdominal pain and diarrhea,irritability,lethargy,bulging hypochondrium and fatigue)were significantly decreased in both groups(P＜0.05),and the scores in observa-tion group were significantly lower than those in control group(P＜O.05).After treatment,the scores of IBS-SSS and VSI in both groups were significantly reduced(P＜0.05),and the scores in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the defecation threshold,sensory threshold and pain threshold were significantly increased in both groups(P＜0.05),and the thresholds were significantly higher in observation group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of 5-HT and VIP were significantly declined in both groups(P＜0.05),and the observation group had significantly lower levels than control group(P＜0.05).No obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups during treatment.Conclusion Tiaoshen Jianpi acupuncture method combined with acupoint application has an exact efficacy in the treatment of patients with IBS,and it can effectively improve the clinical symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea,and regulate the levels of 5-HT and VIP in the body.关键词
