Collaborative Turn-back Optimization of Multiple Metro Vehicles Based on Regenerative Energy Utilization

Abstract
As an important factor of the line departure limit,the turn-back station affects the operation efficiency of the whole line and also wastes a lot of energy.Therefore,it is necessary to reduce the energy consumption of train turning back operation while taking into account the efficiency of line operation.In this regard,this paper studied the energy-saving operation of trains by putting forward the problem of train turn-back based on regenerative braking energy utilization.By establishing the underlying network diagram,the paper built an energy consumption optimization model considering the utilization of regenerative braking energy based on train turn-back.To improve the solving ability of the model,auxiliary variables were introduced to transform it into a linearized model.With a turn-back station of Shanghai Metro as an example,Gurobi was adopted to solve the model and analyze the data of energy consumption,which proved the effectiveness of the model.Under the turn-back timetable obtained by the model,the train energy consumption is reduced by 5.74%compared with the original turn-back mode while ensuring the turn-back ability.The model provides a certain theoretical support and basis for the train turn-back operation mode considering the utilization of regenerative braking energy.关键词
