Abstract
Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea(PED)is an acute contact intestinal infectious disease caused by Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus(PEDV)in pigs.The virus is mainly transmitted through fecal oral routes,and infected pigs can cause severe diarrhea,vomiting,and dehydration,with a high mortality rate of up to 100%.Even if there are piglets that can survive with luck,compared to healthy piglets,the daily weight gain and other growth performance of surviving piglets are far from meeting the production indicators of live pig farming,and can only be eliminated,causing huge economic losses to the pig farming industry.Since its first discovery in Europe in the early 1980s,PED has become one of the important issues facing the global pig industry.This article aims to review the pathogenic characteristics,epidemic characteristics,pathogenic mechanisms,vaccine development,and other aspects of porcine epidemic diarrhea,in order to provide reference for the pig industry.关键词
