Meta-analysis of the influence of empowerment education on negative emotions and quality of life of breast cancer patients

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the intervention effect of empowerment education on negative emotions and quality of life of breast cancer patients by using a meta system.Methods All available randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on empowerment education for breast cancer patients were retrieved from Web of Science,Embase,CINAHL and PubMed,CBM,CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang databases,with the retrieval duration from the establishment of the databases to April 30,2023,and meta-analysis was conducted with RevMan 5.4 software.Results A total of 10 randomized controlled trials were included,involving a total of 1437 patients.The quality-of-life score(SMD=1.17,95%CI[1.02,1.33],P<0.000 01)and the negative emotion score(MD=-11.36,95%CI[-13.73,-8.98],P<0.000 01)of patients in the study group after breast cancer surgery were higher than those in the control group.Conclusion Empowerment education can improve the quality of life and reduce negative emotions of breast cancer patients,but it still needs to be verified by higher-quality research.关键词
