Development of an automatic testing device for 5 s delay burst point of energetic materials

Abstract
Aims:In response to the risks associated with manual experimentation and the poor consistency of energetic materials'burst point experiments,an automatic burst point testing apparatus was designed,based on the principles and methods of burst point testing.Methods:The apparatus,centered around an ARM microcontroller,used a PID algorithm with feed-forward heat power compensation for controlling the temperature of the heating furnace.The system also included an automatic sampling module and a medium to long-range data transmission module for human-machine isolation.Additionally,a supervisory control software based on Lab VIEW was developed for the automatic calculation of burst point parameters.Results:To verify the feasibility of the testing apparatus,burst point tests were conducted on 3,6-diazido-1,2,4,5-tetrazine.The experimental results showed that the standard deviation of multiple repetitions of the test was less than 0.61 seconds,indicating high consistency.The flash point parameter was determined to be 184 ℃,which was in good agreement with the values reported in the literature.Conclusions:This burst point tester achieves fully automatic acquisition of the accuracy of burst point parameters for energetic materials,and to a certain extent ensures the safety of experimental personnel.关键词
