摘要

Abstract

In response to the problems of low voltage gain and high voltage stress in semiconductor devices existing in single-switch Boost converters utilized in grid-connected photovoltaic systems,such as a single ended primary inductor converter(SEPIC),Boost,quasi-Z-source,and second-order converters,an external Boost high-gain DC-DC convert-er based on the SEPIC topology is proposed.First,a detailed analysis of the working principle and steady-state charac-teristics of the proposed converter is conducted in both the continuous and discontinuous conduction modes of inductor current,and its performance is compared with those of other emerging topologies.On this basis,the derived topologies based on the external Boost network are given.Finally,the theoretical analysis is validated through the construction of a 400 V/200 W prototype.The proposed converter utilizes an external Boost network composed of impedance network and switched capacitor units to step up the voltage gain of the SEPIC converter while remedying the drawbacks associated with the high voltage stress in semiconductor devices.
