广西龙眼古树资源调查OA

Longan(Dimocarpus longan Lour.),with a long history of cultivation,is one of the major fruit trees in Guangxi.In order to grasp the situation of ancient D.longan tree resources in Guangxi,the resources of ancient D.longan trees in more than ten counties,cities(districts)in Guangxi were investigated.The results showed that:ancient D.longan trees distributed in all the sur-veyed areas and the oldest one was more than 900 years old;between the age and diameter at breast height(DBH)and between tree height and crown width of ancient D.longan trees existed significant correlations.Due to the lack of management,problems of protection of such resources came out and the survival of ancient D.longan trees was worrying,moreover,some of them were on the brink of death due to their weak growth.In view of the existing problems,suggestions were put forward to strengthen the protection and further research on utilization of ancient D.longan tree resources.
