Development History of Industrial Cane and Chew-ing Cane Varieties in China
摘要
Abstract
China is one of the five major sugar producing countries in the world and sugarcane is the most important raw material for sugar production in China,which has high economic value and strategic position in national sugar industry security and rural revitalization.As a characteristic economic crop in China,chewing cane is also one of the important industries for rural revitalization.This article summarized the classification of sugarcane varieties and the main cultivated industrial cane and chewing cane varieties as well as their cultivation history and breeding status quo,with an aim to provide a reference for understanding the development history of sugarcane and sugarcane breeding.关键词
