Abstract

The flood discharge atomization caused by flip bucket may adversely affect the stability of slopes on both sides of the hydropower station,transportation safety and the safe operation of the power plant.The random spattering model is used to simulate the influence range and rainfall intensity distribution of three typical discharge conditions of the BDa hydropower station under two situations of both no natural wind and the most unfavorable natural wind in flood season,caused by flood discharge atomization.The result shows that the misty rain caused by flood discharge atomization is greatly affected by terrain,with weak lateral diffusion and mainly climbing along slopes,and the contour lines of rainfall intensity are concentrated.The most unfavorable natural wind in flood season causes the misty rain influence range to shift towards the left bank and the influence of flood discharge atomization on the left bank is greater than that on the right bank.The range of violent rainfall caused by flood discharge atomization is concentrated in the downstream area of the dam axis from 195 to 645 meters,with a lateral elevation below 3017 meters for the left bank and 2988 meters for the right bank.
