Abstract
Objective To explore the role of Naranjo's assessment scaleand National Adverse drug Reaction monitoring center criteria in the evaluation of adverse drug reactions.The causal relationship between the use of drospirenone ethinylestradi-ol tablets and adverse effects of pulmonary embolism was evaluated by using two methodsto provide reference for clinical safe drug use.Methods To analyze a case of pulmonary embolism caused by drospirenone ethinylestradiol tablets in our hospital,and collect case reports of pulmonary embolism after using drospirenone ethinylestradiol tablets at home and abroad through search-ing Wanfang,CNKI and pubmed databases.The causal relationship was evaluated by means of the"Naranjo's assessment scale"and the"National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center causal relationship criteria".Results One month after taking drospirnone ethinylestradiol tablets,adverse pulmonary embolism occurred in the patient.After thrombolysis and anticoagulation therapy,the thrombus recanalized.The causality evaluation results of this case and the collected case re-ports were different from"Naranjo's assessment scale"and the"National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center causal relationship criteria".Conclusion Drospirnone ethinylestradiol tablets can lead to adverse reactions of pulmonary embo-lism,clinical use should be vigilant.The"Naranjo's assessment scale"and the"National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitor-ing Center causal relationship criteria"have their own advantages and disadvantages in the evaluation of ADR causality caused by drugs,and they can be combined in clinical practice.关键词
