Abstract

Emergency monitoring is a key link to deal with sudden water environmental events.In order to analyze the importance of emergency monitoring and the trend of change in pollution caused by sudden water environmental events,With"2·19"trichloromethane pollution in the lower reaches of the Tuojiang River as an example,the whole process of emergency monitoring for the event was described in detail.The emergency monitoring response,determination of characteristic pollution factors,preparation of monitoring plan,adjustment of monitoring plan,research and judgment of monitoring results were analyzed through examples,and the roles they played at each stage were summarized.The trend of change in pollutant concentrations was analyzed through monitoring data,and the influence of pollution on drinking water source was evaluated.The results indicated that:the emergency monitoring was carried out in an orderly,scientific and efficient way and on a tight schedule,and each stage played a vital role.The pollutant concentrations at the warning point,monitoring point 1 and monitoring site 2 rose first and then fell.The pollutant concentrations at the water source were not detected continuously.The peak pollutant concentration at the four monitoring points showed a downward trend,and the pollution did not affect the drinking water source.This case can provide experience and technical reference for emergency monitoring of relevant sudden water environmental events.
