摘要

Abstract

Esophageal cancer poses a significant threat to human health,with curative surgery being the primary treat-ment choice for early-stage esophageal cancer.For the treat-ment of early superficial esophageal carcinoma,endoscopic re-section offers significant advantages and is the preferred method.However,the risk of lymph node metastasis needs to be carefully assessed,as it is a crucial factor influencing the treatment of superficial esophageal cancer.Tumor invasion depth,degree of differentiation,tumor length,and lymphovascular invasion are highly relevant risk factors for lymph node metastasis in superficial esophageal carcinoma.Previous prediction models for lymph node metastasis have been built based on these risk factors.This article analyzes the risk factors associated with lymph node metastasis and reviews the published literature concerning prediction models for lymph node metastasis in superficial esophageal carcinoma.Prediction models based on multi-omics data and artificial intelligence-assisted models are expected to improve the model's performance in predicting su-perficial esophageal carcinoma lymph node metastasis,thereby better guiding surgeons in clinical decision-making.
