Abstract
The concept of"momentum"holds a significant position in Chinese culture as a universal and profound notion.It elucidates fundamental principles regarding the harmonious coexistence of individuals or organizations with their environment.In the field of organizational management,momentum is regarded as a situational force that sustains the organization's development in its established direction.Through a retrospective examination of case studies and empirical analyses on organizational momentum,we distinguished the similarities and differences in the understanding of momentum between Chinese and Western literatures.Furthermore,we identified the crucial cognitive abilities of managers in the process of constructing favorable momentum.We summarized that in complex and dynamic environments,managers should not act against prevailing forces but should align with them.This involves leveraging situational forces to achieve established objectives indirectly.关键词
