Experimental Study on the Influence of L-Shaped Groin Group in U-Shaped Bend on Hydraulic Characteristics of Flow at Different Levels

Abstract
Bends affect navigation,and at the same time,easy to cause soil erosion,river bed siltation and other problems.L-shaped groin group is a common hydraulic engineering structure,which can adjust the flow speed and improve the dynamic characteristics of the flow,and is used to protect the shoreline and prevent sedimentation.Most rivers in China have no fixed water level all the year round,and the influence of groin group on the flow characteristics under different water levels is worth studying,which can provide guidance for engineering practice.In this experiment,the particle image velocity measurement system and the wireless water level measuring system are used to measure and record the physical quantities such as flow velocity and water level,and the influence of groin group under different water levels on water flow is analyzed by Matlab software.The conclusions are drawn as follows:with the increase of water level,the speed of water flow gradually decreases,the downstream part of the groin group is the best position to prevent erosion and siltation,and the ratio of dam height to water depth will affect the role of groin group.When the ratio of dam height to water depth is about 2.5,the role of groin group can be well played,which should be considered in the engineering design.关键词
