Development of Digital Economy and Common Prosperity:Theoretical Analysis and Empirical Evidence

Abstract
Based on the panel data of 30 provinces from 2011 to 2019,this paper empirically examines the impact of digital economy development on common prosperity by using the panel fixed effect model,threshold effect model and spatial econometric model.The research findings go as following:(1)The impact of China's digital economy development on common prosperity pres-ents an inverted U-shaped trend of first promotion and then inhibition,and the digital economy development index at the inflec-tion point is about 0.975.At the present stage,the development of China's digital economy has a facilitating effect on common prosperity.(2)There is a threshold effect of the impact of digital economy development on common prosperity.On the one hand,the higher the degree of openness to the outside world,the more significant the inhibitory effect of digital economy development on common prosperity.On the other hand,the inhibitory effect of digital economy development on common prosperity will be weak-ened with the increase of government intervention.(3)The influence of digital economy development on local common prosperity has a significant nonlinear effect of first promoting and then inhibiting,but it has no obvious spatial spillover effect on the common prosperity of neighboring regions.关键词
