Abstract
Objective To investigate the application of virtual reality technology in dressing change of peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.Methods A total of 84 children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia who received PICC dressing change in the Outpatient Department of Beijing Jingdu Children's Hospital from May 2019 to November 2021 were selected as the study objects and divided into the control group and the intervention group by the random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,and the intervention group was given virtual reality technology.Visual analogue scale(VAS),crying duration and family nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results VAS scores at dressing change and 4 min after dressing change in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).VAS scores 4 min after dressing change in both groups were lower than those at dressing change(P<0.05).The duration of crying in the intervention group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total satisfaction rate of family members in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of virtual reality technology in dressing change of PICC in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia can reduce the pain degree of children,shorten the duration of crying,and improve the nursing satisfaction of family members.关键词
