Abstract
Objective:This paper aimed to understand the capability of rapid test laboratories in Suzhou through blind sample assessment and field investigation.Methods:A total of 50 agricultural markets and 9 wholesale markets were randomly selected from various counties,cities,and districts in Suzhou to check 3 and 5 test items respectively.Each laboratory in the market received one negative sample and two positive samples,with concentrations set at 1 and 1.5 times of the detection limit.The rapid test laboratories in the market had to give feedback on the results within 48 hours for comparative analysis.Results:The passing rate for agricultural markets was 38%,while the wholesale markets achieved a 100%passing rate.The rapid test laboratories in 37 agricultural markets and 9 wholesale markets could accurately detect all the examined items,but only a small number of their results were in line with the expected outcomes,with a significant number of false negatives.Among the examined items,the results of methomyl and salbutamol were the best,while the results of formaldehyde were the worst.Conclusion:This blind sample assessment points out the problems in capability construction of rapid test laboratories in Suzhou.Corresponding measures are put forward,aiming to improve the development of rapid test technologies in Suzhou and provide reference for food supervision.关键词
