Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of health education based on the integrated theory of health behavior change(ITHBC)on wound infection and healing in maxillofacial trauma patients undergoing plastic surgery. Methods A total of 102 patients with maxillofacial injury who were admitted to author's hospital from June 2019 to June 2022 and scheduled for plastic and aesthetic suture were selected.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 51 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was given health education based on ITHBC on the basis of the control group. The excellent and good rate of wound healing, total incidence of complications, satisfaction, psychological state and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent rate of wound healing in group B was higher than that in group A(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in group B was lower than that in group A(P<0.05).Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the scores of the self-rating depression scale(SDS),the self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and the 36-item short form health survey(SF-36)(P>0.05).After intervention, the scores of SDS and SAS in both groups decreased, and the scores in group B were lower than those in group A(P<0.05).The scores of SF-36 in both groups were lower, and the scores in group B were lower than those in group A(P<0.05).The satisfaction score of group B was higher than that of group A(P<0.05).Conclusion Health education based on ITHBC can effectively reduce wound infection, promote wound healing, improve psychological status and quality of life of patients with maxillofacial trauma and plastic surgery, with high patient satisfaction and good clinical application effect.关键词
