数字技术是中国实现"双碳"目标的有利工具,为制造业降低碳排放强度提供新的路径选择.基于2010-2021年中国省际面板数据,验证数字技术能否成为制造业碳减排的有效路径,同时考察技术创新的中介效应和绿色化水平的调节作用.结果表明:数字技术能显著降低制造业碳排放强度,具有制造业碳减排效应,运用替代被解释变量法、剔除直辖市和工具变量法进行估算后,结果依然成立;数字技术对中国不同区域制造业碳排放强度的负向影响存在显著差异,数字技术的制造业碳减排效应在中部和西部地区更加显著;数字技术对资本密集型制造业碳减排效应显著,而对劳动和技术密集型制造业碳减排效应不显著;数字技术对高碳和中低碳制造业行业碳排放均有显著的负向影响;数字技术的制造业碳减排效应可以通过技术创新效应实现;绿色化水平能够正向调节数字技术的制造业碳减排效应,且该调节作用在东部和中西部地区更为显著.

Digital technology is a favorable tool for China to achieve the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals,and provides a new path choice for manufacturing industry to reduce carbon emission intensity.Based on China's provincial panel data from 2010 to 2021,this paper verifies whether digital technology can be an effective way to reduce carbon emissions in manufacturing and examines the intermediary effect of technological innovation and the regulatory role of green level.Results show that digital technology can signifi-cantly reduce the carbon emission intensity of the manufacturing industry and digital technology has the effect of carbon emission reduc-tion in the manufacturing industry.After a series of robustness tests,the results remain robust.The negative impact of digital technology on the carbon emission intensity of manufacturing industries in different regions is significantly different.The manufacturing carbon re-duction effects of digital technologies are even more pronounced in the central and western regions.Digital technology has a significant carbon reduction effect on capital-intensive manufacturing.The carbon emission reduction effect on labor-and technology-intensive manufacturing industry is not significant.Digital technology has a significant negative impact on carbon emissions in both high carbon and low carbon manufacturing industries.The carbon emission reduction effect of digital technology in manufacturing can be realized through the effect of technological innovation.The green level can positively adjust the carbon emission reduction effect of digital tech-nology in manufacturing,and the adjustment effect is more significant in the eastern,central and western regions.
