Abstract

Echinacea polyphenols are the extracts of stem,leaf and root of Echinacea,which is mainly used as immune regulator and immune stimulant hormone.It has antiviral,antifungal,anti-tumor,insecticidal and anti-inflammatory pharmacological effects.In this study,single factor experiment was used to optimize the preparation process of Echinacea polyphenols-silver nanocomposites:the optimal synthesis process of volume ratio of 3:7,silver nitrate concentration of 0.02 mol/L,reaction time of 120 min and reaction tem-perature of 100℃ were obtained.Moreover,the characterization of the silver nanocomposites prepared by the optimal synthesis process was investigated.The results showed that the Echinacea polyphenols-silver nanocomposites were irregularly spherical,most of the silver nanostructures were less than 100 nm in diameter with small distribution coefficient and uniform particle size distribution.Zeta potential was-8.05mV,indicating that silver nanocomposite was stable.The cumulated release rate in vitro showed that Echinacea polyphenols-silver nanocomposites had good slow release property.The stability test showed that the silver nanocomposites had good stability at 4℃.In this study,these findings suggest that Echinacea polyphenol-silver nanocomposites prepared by green synthesis method is beneficial to reduce the dosage and improve the therapeutic effect,and may provide a new method for Echinacea polyphenols in clinical veterinary use.
