Abstract

Objective:To explore the application effect of VR technology-based BOPPPS combined with WPBL teaching mode in the teaching of respiratory medicine.Methods:The undergraduate students of Grade 2019 major in clinical medicine,who have completed the basic medical courses in our university were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with 40 students in each group.Students in the experimental group adopted the VR technology-based BOPPPS combined with WPBL teaching mode,and students in the control group adopted the traditional teaching mode.The theoretical assessment performance,teaching effectiveness evaluations and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups.At the same time,correlation analysis was conducted on teaching effectiveness evaluations,teaching satisfaction and theoretical assessment performance.Results:In the experimental group,students'theoretical assessment performance[(85.8±4.9)vs(77.2±5.3)],teaching effectiveness evaluations and satisfaction were significantly better than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The Spearman correlation analysis suggested that there was no significant correlation between teaching effectiveness evaluations and theoretical assessment performance in the two groups,but teaching satisfaction was significantly correlated with theoretical assessment performance(P<0.05).Further multiple linear regression analysis indicated that teaching grouping,teaching effectiveness evaluations,and teaching satisfaction accounted for 60.7%of the variability in theoretical assessment performance.Conclusion:The application of VR technology-based BOPPPS combined with WPBL teaching mode in the teaching of respiratory medicine can effectively improve the teaching effectiveness and satisfaction.
