Expression and significance of DSPP and BMP-2 in dental pulp stem cell repairing and regenerating dental pulp dentin complex

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of dentin sialophosphoprotein(DSPP)and bone morphogenetic protein-2(BMP-2)after the regeneration and repair of the dental pulp-dentin complex using third-generation homologous allogeneic dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs),and to provide new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for apical periodontitis in young permanent teeth.Methods Eighteen SD rats were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group.The first molars of both sides of the maxilla were extracted in both groups under general anesthesia.In the experimental group,homologous allogeneic dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)cultured outside the body were implanted into the pulp chamber simultaneously.In the control group,no further treatment was performed after the removal of the pulp.Both groups received pulp chamber sealing with glass ionomer filling after the procedures.At 2,4,and 6 weeks postoperatively,the animals were euthanized,and their maxillary bones were collected for immunohistochemical detection of DSPP and BMP-2 expression using appropriate methods.Results At 2,4,and 6 weeks postoperatively,the expression levels of DSPP and BMP-2 in the dental pulp-dentin complex were significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions The transplantation of homologous allogeneic dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)increases the expression of DSPP and BMP-2 in the dental pulp-dentin complex,thereby facilitating the repair and regeneration of the dental pulp-dentin complex.关键词
