Experiment on the Seismic Behavior of Coupled Bending Shear Steel Plate Shear Wall

Abstract
A lateral force-resisting structure known as a coupled steel plate shear wall structure is created by connecting two steel plate shear walls together with steel coupling beams.In this paper the seismic performance of the structural system was studied from the perspectives of the hysteresis curve,the skeleton curve,ductility,bearing capacity,stiffness degradation,energy dissipation capacity,etc.Through the quasi-static test of a 1/3 scale 4-story coupled steel plate shear wall specimen,the yielding sequence and deformation mode of the specimen were analyzed.The results show that the ductility coefficient of the coupled steel plate shear wall specimen is 5.03,the bearing capacity degradation coefficient is larger than 0.96,the bearing capacity and stiffness degradation are stable.The equivalent viscous damping coefficient is more than 0.25,which indicates that the coupled steel plate shear wall has excellent seismic performance.The coupling beam yields firstly during loading,followed by the wallboard,which firstly buckles before yielding,and then the column base and beam.The coupling beam's addition altered the structure's yield mechanism,enhanced overall ductility and energy dissipation capacity,and can create several seismic fortification lines,resulting in an overall specimen that now exhibits a reasonable failure mechanism.The entire lateral displacement curve is deformed by bending and shearing.The experimental research offers a reference for future research and application of coupled steel plate shear wall structures,and is more appropriate for the implementation of coupled steel plate shear wall structures in actual projects.关键词
