Abstract

As an important part of the ship lift,the working gate of the ship lift is mainly used to control and adjust the water level of the ship lift and ensure the safe entry and exit of navigable vessels.The CATIA software is employed to establish an accurate and parameterized three-dimensional model of the lower sluice gate,while the Abaqus software is utilized to develop a corresponding finite element model that accurately represents the real-world conditions.Under normal operational conditions,appropriate loads and boundary conditions are applied to conduct a comprehensive finite element analysis,aiming to verify the structural integrity and reliability of the sluice gate.According to the finite element calculation results,the gate structure is further optimized,with the goal of reducing the quality of the gate,and the parametric method is used to define the design variables,including plate thickness,main beam spacing and so on.The gate parameters are modified and are again analyzed to verify the safety and reliability of the optimized gate structure.After the optimization design,the optimization effect of the gate quality is successfully reduced by 21.3%.The combined method of CATIA and Abaqus software is simple and reliable,and can fully reflect the stress characteristics of the gate structure.Through finite element analysis and optimized design,the quality of the main working gate is successfully improved,and its safety and economy are further enhanced.
