基于语料库的服装英语语言特征及汉译研究
Corpus-based study on linguistic characteristics and English-Chinese translation of garment English

Abstract
In order to achieve accurate translation of garment English texts and promote the spread of costume cul-ture,the characteristics of garment English texts were analyzed from two aspects:vocabulary and sentence,by building a monolingual corpus of garment English and choosing a general English corpus as a reference corpus.It is found that gar-ment English texts are rich in terms of words,with a certain amount of technical and semi-technical terms and many nomi-nalization structures.The texts have many passive sentences and long sentences.Based on the characteristics of the texts,the English-Chinese translation strategies of garment English were explored.It draws the following conclusions:in terms of vocabulary,as to translation of technical terms,it is necessary to refer to the standard translation.As to semi-technical terms,it is important to extend the meaning reasonably and verify that the translation is correct.Nominalization can be translated into verbs or four-character structures.As far as sentences are concerned,the following four translation methods can be adopted in translation of passive sentences:changing the subject,translating into the sentence without a subject,adding a logical subject,and using the words"由、给、受、让、得以、加以"to express the passive meaning.In terms of translation of long sentences,the main principle is to break the original sentence structure and find the sequence of events,and the main strategy is to separate and then restructure sentences.关键词
