Research on the Characteristics of Cityscape Perceptions in Short Videos:A Case Study based on Harbin

随着新社交媒体的蓬勃发展,网络空间承载了公众感知城市风貌的海量数据,为研究城市问题提供了新视角.基于抖音短视频的呈现形式、场景图像、背景音乐、字幕文本等多维度数据,利用视频内容分析、空间定量分析以及文本语义分析等方法,将客观环境、网络媒介和主观感知有机联结,构建从媒介感知、环境感知到情绪感知的网络社会城市风貌感知分析路径,挖掘城市风貌感知特征,提出短视频分析在城市风貌规划中的应用展望,以期为城市风貌研究提供新思路和新方法,同时也为哈尔滨的城市风貌塑造和营销提供参考借鉴.

With the humanistic transformation of urban construction,the cityscape is gradually returning to a"human perspective",and public demands are important for cityscape planning in the new era.In recent years,the rapid rise of new social media platforms represented by short videos has triggered the reconstruction of the relationship between material space,media,and public perception.Vast social networks carry large amounts of data on individual perceptions and evaluation of urban spaces,providing a new perspective and a new method to study the cityscape.At present,research on cityscapes is facing two challenges:firstly,less attention is being paid to the impact of dynamic video materials on urban space.Secondly,the mediating function of network media is being neglected.Based on the above opportunities and challenges,a case study based on the main urban area within the Third Ring Road of Harbin was carried out.Focusing on perception characteristics of cityscapes in short videos,video data of the"Harbin cityscape"on the TikTok platform was captured.The perception intensity of cityscapes was characterized by the weighted frequency of video presentation form,scene image,background music,and subtitle text.Moreover,the objective environment,network media,and subjective perception were organically connected through video content analysis,spatial quantitative analysis,and text semantic analysis of space.An analysis path for urban style perceptions in society networks was built using media perception,environmental perception,and emotional perception to explore characteristics of urban style perceptions in multiple dimensions.The results showed that:(1)media perception presented significant viewing preference characteristics.(2)Ice and snow landscapes,activities,and historical attractions were the core features of Harbin's style perception,while the perception of natural elements such as summer,water,and green space was weak.(3)The overall environmental perception showed spatial structure characteristics of single-core agglomeration,and the subdivided high-perception areas mainly concentrated in popular scenic spots,parks and squares,urban landmarks,and important traffic installations.(4)The perception hotspot area was characteristic of spatial agglomeration and internal structure differentiation around the central area of the old city and the area along the river.(5)The emotional perception was mainly positive,and the negative emotions mainly concentrated on the cold climate,tourism services,and other aspects.On this basis,the following application prospect of short video analysis in the Harbin city landscape planning is proposed.Generally,the analysis results of cityscape perceptions based on short videos are fragmented,accompanied with a significant tendency towards tourism and high sensitivity to tourist hotspot elements and hot areas.It comprehensively reflects the priority of cityscape elements and location selection,which is an important representation of the cityscape.This is conducive to improving the cityscape element system and identifying the spatial structure of hotspots.These results provide an important basis and support for cityscape planning.However,it is important to note that the cityscape in short videos is a virtual world projected by the network,which satisfy some individuals.This may significantly deviate from the real world or even violate local folk customs,resulting in some limitations.These results provide ideas for the application of new datasets to research cityscapes,and offset ignorance of traditional researchers over the influences of network media characteristics.In addition to providing new ideas and methods for researchers for the planning and practices of cityscape,this study also offers references for shaping and marketing of the cityscape in Harbin.
