Design and research of semi-monocoque chassis for FSAE racing car based on honeycomb aluminum panel
摘要
Abstract
An innovative monocoque chassis design for FSAE racing cars utilizing honeycomb aluminum panels is proposed to address the challenges associated with the complex manufacturing process and high cost of carbon fiber monocoque chassis,as well as the low torsional rigidity commonly found in traditional steel tube spaceframe chassis design.The design objectives for torsional stiffness and total mass of the chassis are determined,and the basic size of the chassis is established through ergonomic design princi-ples.The optimal layup scheme is obtained using the finite element analysis method,and the chassis un-dergoes strength verification analysis under various working conditions.The results demonstrate that the a-luminum semi-monocoque chassis exhibits excellent torsional rigidity and lightweight characteristics,mak-ing it a cost-effective alternative to the traditional steel tube spaceframe body.This research provides a fresh perspective on chassis design for FSAE racing cars.关键词
