Research Progress in Application of Modified Copper Current Collector in Lith-ium-Ion Batteries

Abstract
With social development and technological progress,excessive energy consumption has also brought about resource and envi-ronmental problems.In recent years,the vigorous development of new industries such as electric vehicles have also promoted the devel-opment and application of electrochemical energy storage technology.Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are considered the most advanced re-chargeable energy storage devices.In LIBs,current collector plays a crucial role as it connects the internal and external electronic path-ways of LIBs and serves as the support substrate for active electrode materials.Currently,commercial copper foil as a collector cannot meet people's requirements for higher performance energy storage devices.Therefore,modifying LIBs copper collectors to address is-sues such as insufficient performance and battery defects is a feasible method.Due to the advantages of high conductivity and high me-chanical strength,carbon-based materials are one of the excellent modified materials.This article introduced the common problems in LIBs and systematically analyzed the methods for modifying copper collectors in recent years,mainly including carbon based material modification and other effective modification methods,and for the field of copper based collector and carbon based material modifica-tion,outstanding achievements made by many researchers in recent years have been summarized,involving different carbon nanomate-rials and their preparation processes applied in the modification process,as well as many factors affecting the performance of copper based collector modified by carbon nanomaterials.Finally,the development trend of copper collector fluid application in LIBs in the fu-ture was prospected.关键词
